Service

Multilingual websites

We build websites and systems in several languages: a separate address for each language, language tags for search engines, copy you manage in the panel, and local pages for different cities or markets.

Animation: three language versions of a page stand on a shared ring, the ring turns, and each language comes to the front in turn with its tag lighting up.

When you need it

Situations that bring people to us for this service.

  • A second language means a second site

The English version lives separately, and the two sites' copy drifts apart.

  • Search shows the wrong language

Without language tags, search engines treat the versions as duplicates.

  • The switch goes to the home page

People change the language and lose the page they were on.

  • One text for every market

Customers in different cities or countries look for different things, but the site speaks to all of them the same way.

What's included

  1. Language version structure

A separate address for each language and the same page structure.

  2. Tags for search

Language tags and a sitemap that let search engines show people the right version.

  3. Copy in the panel

You edit each language's copy yourself in the panel, including city pages.

  4. Language switch

Changing the language keeps people on the same page.

  5. City and market pages

Separate copy for cities or regions — for what people search for there.

  6. System interface

Accounts, forms and emails — in the user's language.

What you get

  • A language version structure
  • A website with a language switch
  • Language tags and a sitemap for search
  • A panel for each language's copy
  • Code and documentation that are open to you

The project path

From the first conversation to daily use

Every step ends with a decision: go on or stop. We don't start the next one until the previous one has given its answer.

  1. 01

    Getting to know the task

You describe the process and what gets in the way. We reply by email with questions and arrange a call.

  2. 02

    Discovery

We study the process with the people who work in it and write down what the system must change and how we will check it.

  3. 03

    Prototype

We build a working prototype of the key scenario to test the idea on real data rather than on polished screens.

  4. 04

    Pilot

We run the system in your real environment with agreed outcome criteria and a deadline. After the pilot we decide together whether to go further.

  5. 05

    Launch and growth

We bring it to daily use: reliability, access rights, links to other software, documentation, support. Then we develop it based on user feedback.

Questions about this service

How many languages can you support?

As many as you need. In the road freight case study the interface works in five languages.

Who will translate the copy?

You can provide your own copy or leave it to us; we translate meaning, not words, and keep the facts the same in every language.

Won't search engines treat language versions as duplicates?

Not if the versions are tagged correctly: each page points to its language counterparts, and search shows people the right one.

Have a project with no ready-made solution?

Describe it in a few sentences: how things work today and what gets in the way. We reply by email with questions on the next business day.
